How do you know what you don’t know? Well, you don’t. Whether that is how real health and vitality impact the whole of your life, what freedom does for your soul, or what true love feels like. What we feel is based upon a comparison. So what happens when all you have felt is well… not good? After a while that feeling becomes our norm and our comfort zone. We no longer question if what we are feeling is in any way settling. Because the truth is, in our reality we are not settling when this is all we know.
My guest this week is someone that I absolutely treasure. And we have only met once. Have you ever met someone who could only be described as “magical?” Just being in this person’s presence makes you feel better, happier, and more uplifted and you don’t know why, but you just feel it. This is PJ Dixon. He was only supposed to only live to age seven, and many decades later has defied all odds. And I don’t mean just medically. He not only embodies the spirit of what it takes to truly love but on a deeper level he simply is love.
In our conversation tomorrow, we talk about a major event in his life that happened after a traumatic incident. PJ was hit by a car in his wheelchair and was in constant pain. After the accident PJ was with a physical therapist who said that if he “snapped” his pelvis, it would be excruciating, but on the other side of that pain, would be tremendous relief. Now here’s the deal… maybe it would bring relief and maybe it wouldn’t. There are no guarantees as to what lies on the other side of our comfort zone, risk, or the unknown. And for many, it’s not worth enduring the “excruciating” pain to find out.
I think so many of us have become conditioned to what we consider normal or acceptable, we don’t realize there is anything better. I hope you listen to tomorrow’s episode with PJ and you are inspired to take a chance on what lies on the other side of fear. It is in these choices that our destiny is redefined. And the truth is you don’t know, until you know. This might just be the year you find true love. This also might be the year you realize it is you whom you need to truly fall in love with. I hope this conversation with PJ tomorrow, is a hand held out to help guide you there.
With loving gratitude,
