About Our Retreats

We offer three and five-day retreats. Each retreat will be customized to meet the needs of your group. The retreat options are listed below and vary in price depending upon the type and duration of your retreat. Please call or email for package pricing, as we are here to make your retreat as unique and special as you are. Lodging is nearby in downtown Julian and all accommodations will be made for you so all you have to do is get here.

Every step of this property was designed to take in the 360-degree views, the endless manzanita trees on the walking trails, and quiet peacefulness you only get from being at the top of a mountain. The programs we offer can be the start or the deepening of living mindfully and with intention in everything you do. This is the time to step away from your daily life with no distractions, to help you gain clarity and inner peace as a way of being. You will learn how to relax completely and recharge your batteries, not just while on your retreat, but most importantly when you return to your daily life.

Life Coaching

Every successful person has a coach of some kind. World-class athletes all have personal trainers. The best singers all have voice coaches. The best investors have financial advisors. But why would someone work with a life coach? There are three significant reasons. One is having someone who has the capacity to take in the whole of your life with consideration of decision making, rather than just one facet of your life. The other is that you have someone who is looking out for your best interest without an agenda. Typically our friends, relatives, and co-workers all have a personal gain from the advice they give… even when they don’t realize it. Examples of this are: They don’t want you to leave, they don’t want you to get ahead thus making them feel insignificant, or they don’t want you to take a risk- because they wouldn’t. Finally, you need someone in your life who is asking you questions different from the questions you are asking yourself.


Albert Einstein is credited with saying, “The mind that created the problem, cannot be the same mind to solve it.” Even if you don’t have a “problem,” a life coach is an invaluable asset to get where you want to go, in the shortest amount of time… with the least amount of compromise to your integrity or soul.


Most of us are accustomed to looking outside of ourselves for happiness, a sense of accomplishment, or fulfillment. There are many things in life that are beyond our control. However, it is possible to take responsibility for our own states of mind—and to change them for the better.


Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Meditation is a practice that encourages and develops concentration, clarity, emotional positivity and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. By engaging with a particular meditation practice, you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. With regular work and patience, these nourishing, focused states of mind can deepen into profoundly peaceful and energized states of mind. Such experiences can have a transformative effect and can lead to a new understanding of life.


From the outside, one may consider meditation as a form of prayer. But it isn’t. Meditation simply means awareness of the present moment. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. Watching your breath is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.


Ultimately, meditation is not a technique but a way of life. Meditation means “a cessation of the thought process”. It describes a state of consciousness when the mind is free of scattered thoughts.


The word meditation is derived from two Latin words : meditari (to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and mederi (to heal). Its Sanskrit derivation “medha” means wisdom.


With regular practice of a balanced series of techniques, the energy of the body and mind can be liberated and the quality of consciousness can be expanded. This is not a subjective claim. It is a reality now being investigated by scientists and established by empirical evidence.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra or iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present regardless of the circumstances of life that are presented.


Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness (Yoga Nidra) is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In Yoga Nidra the practitioner remains in a state where only the hearing still connects to the instructions and all other senses fall away. Yoga Nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.


The practice of Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. The autonomic symptoms of high anxiety such as headache, chest pain, palpitations, sweating, and abdominal pain respond well. It has been used with great success to help veterans from war cope with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as well as others diagnosed with the same condition, regardless of origin.

Tapping (EFT)


EFT -Tapping, otherwise known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a combination of Ancient Chinese Acupressure and Modern Psychology. Stress, by definition, is when our nervous system has become overly sensitized because of past events and emotions.



Tapping sends a calming signal to the amygdala of the brain, allowing the brain and body to feel safe, and thus the anxiety to dissipate. Through Tapping we’re actually able to reprogram the brain to no longer be overly sensitized, allowing us to come back to a more natural, balanced state where we can better differentiate between real threats of danger and everyday events.
